The Orville, Ep. 4 Highlights

What a great little episode. Here are some initial thoughts:

• I really want Yaphit and Dr. Finn to get together in the season finale.
• “Looks like it’s another night with just me and the toothpaste.”
• Clearly the Union doesn’t have a Prime Directive. Like, they straight up alter the course of history for this species.
• Knowing that Klyden was born female makes that intro scene with him eating rocky road and watching The Sound of Music a bit weird, right?
• The “big metal turtle” is a reference to the World Turtle myth, right?
• James Morrison is such an awesome actor but I’ll never not see him as Col. TC McQueen.
• Palicki killed those one-liners all episode
• “It’s medical science, baby!”
• “Boom bitch!”
• Isaac’s fiber-optic fingers were a really cool sfx.
• Dorahl… D’r’l… l’r’d… Lord… get it? Do you get it?
• It’s that Liam Neesons! The cameos are pretty great in this show. Presumably MacFarlane is calling in all his favors.
• And last, but not least, we’ve found the dumbest person in the galaxy: Josh
